what is the difference between gprs and edge and 3G UMTS?
Do they use different amounts of battery life? which one do I want to be on? or should i just stay on whichever I am automatically connected to? (I have the AT&T 8525)

3G is more battery hungry than GSM or EDGE
Stay on 3G unless you know you won’t get a chance to charge your battery for a while
